Experience
Engineering Background
Degree in environmental engineering, then 3 years designing HVAC systems for buildings. The habit stuck: work out what can go wrong before building.
Career switch
Frontend bootcamp alongside a full-time job. Building interfaces suited me better than designing ventilation, so I switched.
Frontend at SAP
Four years at SAP: internal tools, and proofs of concept built during sales pitches (one week to two months each) showing prospects how their store could run on SAP Commerce. One React app replaced a division manager's planning spreadsheet with a timeline fed from an internal API.
Contract & freelance
Contractor with KPS, a UK e-commerce consultancy. Since 2023 on an international life-science company's B2B store: I helped build a Vue.js tool where lab customers design PCR assays online, and since January 2025 I've been the only frontend developer on the account (checkout, pricing, interface changes). Now also frontend work on a new product configurator for the same client. Earlier: a marketplace integration and a short Shopify migration. Alongside it, a few projects of my own.
