My Journey

2009–2018

Engineering Background

Mechanical engineering degree, then 3 years designing building systems. Taught me to think in systems, plan for edge cases, and deliver projects that actually work in the real world.

The Pivot

Took a frontend bootcamp while working full-time. Turns out building interfaces clicked way more than designing ventilation systems. Switched tracks and never looked back.

Enterprise Frontend

4 years in enterprise e-commerce — demos, prototypes, and production apps for global clients. One React app I built for floor management is still running today. Fast 2-3 week cycles, big codebases.

Remote & Freelance

Went fully remote. Built marketplace integrations, maintained large-scale frontends, and for the past 2 years I've been the sole frontend dev on biotech tooling — genotyping apps, probe calculators, sequence visualizers. Now taking on freelance projects alongside.

My Story

8 years in frontend, from enterprise e-commerce to biotech tooling. Before that I was an engineer — which sounds unrelated until you realize it's the same thing: understanding how parts connect, anticipating what breaks, and building something that works reliably.

Beyond Code

When I'm not coding, you'll find me exploring the world with my camera, spending time with my cats, or diving into a good book. Travel has given me a broader perspective and appreciation for different ways of thinking and solving problems. Here are some moments I've captured along the way.
