Privacy
This site collects as little as possible. Here is exactly what happens with your data.
Who is responsible
Daniel Polak, a freelance frontend developer based in Zabrze, Poland. For anything about your data, write to the address at the bottom of this page.
The contact form
When you send the form, I receive your name, email address, the project type you picked, an optional budget with its currency, the form's language and your message. I use them only to reply to you and, if we decide to work together, to prepare and run the project. The legal basis is your request to be contacted and steps before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The form is delivered by Formspree, Inc. (USA), which processes submissions on my behalf, so your message is transferred outside the EU. I keep it only as long as I need it to handle your enquiry or, if we work together, as long as the law requires for business records. You can ask me to delete it at any time.
Visit statistics
I count visits with Umami Cloud. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data: I see totals, such as which pages are read, from which country and on what kind of device, never who you are.
Hosting
The site runs on Vercel, whose servers keep short technical logs (such as IP address and browser) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Travel photos
The photos on the About page load from Instagram's servers (Meta). Your browser contacts them directly, so they can see your IP address.
Cookies
Two small functional cookies and no tracking: one remembers your light or dark theme, the other the language you chose.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of your data, or to correct it, delete it or limit how I use it, and you can object to its use. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl).
