The Challenge
The portal covering smart home, IoT, and consumer electronics needed a visual refresh and better content organization. The site handles news, reviews, guides, video content, and a product database for smart home devices.

The Approach
I rebuilt their existing child theme: designed the UI first in Adobe XD, then rewrote the loops and the homepage and category templates with custom SASS. Articles, reviews, guides and the product database got their own sections, and podcasts and video became easier to reach.

The Result
The portal has separate sections for news, reviews, guides and products, and the page builder no longer weighs down the templates. My styles still run on the site, though the editorial team has stopped publishing.
